BEING KIND TO MYSELF !
Then I spent years wondering why people act so selfish?
There's no favor in being it of course, being mean to other people around, does it give a sense of happiness?
All these years of growing up into a mature person, I experienced things to prove the fact that an elderly person is more wise. A person who had been through all the even and odds is someone who takes the decision quite well. WE GROW AND PEOPLE CHANGE. Yes people change and they change in a very unexpected way.
As we grow, we experience the mean motto of people, and when we do, it pinches somewhere.
Do people really change or they were the same and we mistook to assume it something else?
May be the answers to these questions are just not easy to find out, or may be the people we meet all these years throughout our lives are just not enough to make us experience the truth!
Being a child, every other person appears beautiful and kind to us, every person who offers us a chocolate becomes the best for us. What if a kidnapper offers us a chocolate, do we know the mean motto behind him or her, for why the chocolate is being offered? By accepting the chocolate or by snatching it from the other mate, isn't this being selfish?
Everyone is selfish in some or the other way, the people who are kind are also selfish because they are acting in a way that makes them happy, the rude ones are also selfish because even they are acting the way that makes them stay at ease. Everyone around acts according to what makes them feel better. Whatever matches with our frequency doesn't seem to be selfish to us, however, something that doesn't becomes selfish. I am selfish and even you are selfish, because I want to save myself from every reason to get upset and you want to save yourself from everything that harms you. This might look being selfish to others, but I would reframe it stating "I AM BEING KIND TO MYSELF". <3
